I like being able to get back into smaller clothes!

Thursday, March 01, 2012

I want to ask about this, but at the same time, I hope no one here knows me.
I love getting into smaller sized clothes and am relieved that I saved a few pair of capris when I gave away all pants that were too small. This is true especially since one friend who had gotten the bag of pants accidentally threw the whole bag into the recycle bin at the recycle center. All the clothes were very gently used.
I've spent more time today than I should, I suppose, trying on pants that were too small and going to the next room to look at the view from the back. I am way too old to be doing this, but it was very nice.
I'd love to have your honest feedback.

I agree with Nikki above that you are never too old to want look good. How great does that feel to know you are making progress and fitting into smaller clothes. I am currently in the process of going through my closet and weeding out what I can. I am starting on my 2nd "garbage" bag to throw out and it feels great. The good news is I saved capris and jeans I couldn't previously get into (gently used as you say) and they are fitting me great now. Actuall I am looking pretty great in them. I am retired now so I don't need all the work clothes I had so I'm tossing some size 12 - lovely lined slacks - but I can't get in them and I haven't worn them for a few years so out they go. The other thing is since I'm retired I don't have the disposable income I had to buy more so I'm trying to sort through everything first and take stock so I know what I really do need. It's a lot of work but I think it will pay off. And it is a motivational thing because as you fit into the smaller sizes it motivates you to stay with the program. emoticon

no one is too old to feel good about the way they look! lately i've been buying pants somewhere less expensive so i don't feel bad donating them, old navy has jeans for 19 dollars and you get a coupon for three more pairs, hopefully i'm buying a smaller size each month!
