Here I am again for a third try at loosing weight.
The 1st time, I just read articles and looked around the SparkPeople site thinking, "Wow, this site has some great information but I don't think I could actually loose weight and who has the time to track everything I eat, interact with other people on the site and read articles everyday." And, so you guessed it I did not loose any weight.
The second time, I logged my food in everyday, read articles, interacted with others on the site and lost about 7 pounds before giving up on my plan to lose 40 pounds. I just couldn't get into exercising. And, without exercising on a regular basis the weight is not going to come off and stay off, my body is not going to become toned and healthy and it takes a lot longer time to loose even a few pounds.
It has now been 6 months since I stopped logging in everyday on SparkPeople and I gained back the weight I lost. So, here I am again at 180 pounds. I am back again because I did not want to gain anymore weight as I have never been over 180 except when I was pregnant with my two son's.
This brings us to my third time, here I am on this bonus day deciding that I can make this a true change in my lifestyle and that I will commit myself to including exercise as part of my program at least 3 days per week or more for at least 30 minutes.
Here's to starting over...one step at a time.
Let's see what I can do by the next time it is a leap year. Slow and steady wins the race. I think that I can loose 40 pounds and then keep it off over the next four years. Happy Leap Year!
