On track, a killer leg/butt circuit, more miles and an all girlís Tri

Itís been a great week so far! Iíve been on track with my workouts and on point with food, strictly sticking to my challenge- no sweets, alcohol, bread or rice. And thatís been the key to the scale. Down 3.4 lbs in one week! Itís like they sayóYou cannot out train poor nutrition. 80% diet, 20% exercise.

Sunday was a leg/butt day so I made up my own routine. After 30 minutes on the stationary bike, I did 2 rounds (10 repetitions each) of:

1. Bulgarian split squat with weights
2. Step ups with weights (10 reps per side)
3. Weighted bridge
4. Full squat with weights
5. Dead lifts (with row)
6. Kick with reverse lunge (10 reps per side)
7. Curtsy lunge with leg lift (10 reps per side)
8. Sissy squat (with weights)
9. UFCís
10. Plie squat with weights

I followed the first round with pushups, wall squats, crunches and planks, and the 2nd round with some trampoline jumping fun. Total leg/butt time= 30 minutes. Sounds harmless right? Well, suffice to say that today, Wednesday, my hammies are still just a little tiny bit sore. On Monday they were burning!!! As were my quads and butt!!! It hurt to go pee! Sit, stand, walk, go upstairs, you get the point. Whoís my personal trainer? I AM. emoticon I usually try to fit leg days with my gym days so I can use the cool machines....Arms are easier to work with just dumbbells.... Well I showed me. Who needs machines!?!

My 5 y/o started soccer this week and he absolutely loves it. I am so happy for him since he had a hard time with baseball last year. In addition to learning the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline, sports are supposed to be fun! I am just as happy as he is because thereís a track surrounding the fieldÖ..So guess what I am doing while he practices for an hour an half on Mondays and Wednesdays? Oh yeah! My miles are going UP! Woot woot!

I am SO EXCITED to be participating in all girlís triathlon this Sunday!!! Relay of course. I only swim for fun and spinning and stationary bike do not count as cycling. So Iím doing the 5K leg of the sprint tri! Still I am so thrilled to be part of the event. I have always been curious about triís and especially the girl power of this event! I was going to go as a spectator anyway but now that I was able to get a team I am stoked. Go TriChicas!

I canít believe March is already here! The only event my calendar is a half marathon on the 25th- and it will be my 5th. Wow. Who wouldíve thought?

    Can I just tell you that my quads started quivering WHILE READING your routine? Girl, that is TOUGH!!!!! emoticon
