My DH an I became vegetarians about 3 years ago. It was a mutual decision, but was partly inspired by his heart disease. It was something we were slowly gravitating towards even without the health issues, and the more we learned how to fit this change into our everyday lives the more we loved it. This life style isn't for everyone but if you decide to embrace it, I don't think you would ever be able to turn back.
Now, I would love to go totally vegan but I have one problem that is also probably at the root of my being unable to lose all the weight. I love cheese! Absolutely adore it! I was totally able to turn my back on eggs, milk, juicy burgers,and all the varietys of steak, but not the cheese, which is one of the worst things to eat when you look at the fat content!
I just have to find something I love to nibble on as much as a chunk of Colby- jack!
