Motivation lacking

Sunday, February 26, 2012

All this grey, snow, cold, windy stuff is making my motivation go down. I want to go for a walk so bad. That makes me see a change in myself though, considering I rarely went for/wanted to go for walks before. I did make some bad diet choices this week, but tried to stay active. I didn't do hardcore exercise for 2 days and felt pretty crappy because of that. After just doing a 60 minute cardio low impact aerobic exercise, I feel so much better. I'm hoping to see some more results before I go to see my friend in the Cities in two weeks. I hope she can see changes. She is the only person I have confided in that I'm doing this, besides my fitness friend from LK Fitness. She is super supportive and tells me how proud of me she is. I still have a long way to go, but I'm hoping to see smaller changes to get my motivation up soon.

I can see how the weather would make you not want to go out. I recently lived in Chicago for 6 years so I can totally relate. We all make bad diet choices all too often! The thing is to just not let it get you down and jump right back on. I have found that sticking to an easier fitness program is entirely successful. Join the 10 minute fitness challenge. All you have to do is 10 minutes of fitness 5 days a week. I was doing 10 minute videos. You will be amazed at how such little work produces so much results!! Good Luck and Keep At it! You will be happy you did!

You are changing! Even if the changes aren't all physical or show up in measurable weight loss, you are changing and adapting. You can tell your body likes what you are doing because it misses it when you don't. That's a good sign. Are any of your clothes feeling different on your body? Have you tried using a tape measure to start keeping up with the changes in your body? All of the things you do make a difference. I'm glad you have a couple of friends who support you. Hope your day gets a little brighter! emoticon
