Puppy sitting....

Sunday, February 26, 2012

We ended up with unexpected company late yesterday afternoon. Quin, the puppy and Kaeli showed up for a visit after spending their afternoon at the dog park. Quin ended up going and getting Shyra, as she didn't feel comfortable driving in the snow. We had a great time. They stayed for supper and all evening. I drove the girls back home just after midnight and Quin and puppy spent the night.
I get to puppy sit today while Garry and Quin head out to watch the Nascar races at a friends. Sage is such a good puppy. Kismet, the cat, has figured out that Sage doesn't like stairs so she has claimed the upstairs as her territory and Sage has the run of the main floor. Sage loves the snow and we are lucky enough to have a closed in backyard. She is so funny to watch as "hops" all over the yard in the snow, playing whatever imaginary games she is playing.

Needless to say I did not get my 10,000 steps in yesterday...I did get 8000 in though, and would have made my goal easily if I had not been sitting around visiting! Still a respectable number none the less. Thanks is due to the all the shoveling that I had to do yesterday. The snow has finally stopped and it looks like one more bout with the shovel is in order.

My positives:

That our kids enjoy spending time with us.
Quin's puppy Sage...what a delight she is. It is so lovely to see how much Quin and she love each other.
I had a very successful week of steps.
Lots of exercise yesterday with shoveling snow.
A new day of life to enjoy.

Have a great and wonderful day.
Hugs,
Wanda

That number of steps is nothing to sneeze at, you still did good. Sounds like you had fun this weekend.

8000 is FAR much better than having taken *0* steps - so, on top of that respectable number, you had a great time with the puppy......nobody can take that away from you, so keep that in mind!
