Well after living in our house for 13 years I finally had the downstairs repainted. I was always going to do it myself but it was an overwhelming task with all the wallpaper I had to take down first. So with the added stress of taking care of my parents I thought now I really have an excuse to hire someone. He did a great job and watching him, glad I never tackled it. Well new paint...Have to spruce up some of the rooms. Lets start with the bathroom. Counter and cabinet looking bad. Oops also new toilet now because I accidentally dropped lid in tank and broke it when toilet wouldn't flush. Well toilet was very low, lets get a higher one for my mom and us in near future. Of course we need a special size (learned about rough in) so special order and more expensive. My brother says he will help me it should only take a few hours. 8 hours later toilet is in. One obstacle after another. People at Home Depot were our saviors.
( And my brother has installed many toilets with ease). That was yesterday. Today is new cabinet and sink. He assures me it will go smoother.....we'll see.
