This past Saturday, I went out to a bar/grill. This was a spur of the moment thing. I agonized about going because I figured everyone would be eating. I had already cooked dinner. (By the way, it was Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken, a Sparkpeople recipe, and it was delicious!). We went, and enjoyed the company of some friends, and I didn't eat. That was a victory for me. We could have had a plate full of chili cheese fries, or an appetizer sampler platter. It is one of those hole in the wall bars that has FANTASTIC food. It also helps that my husband didn't eat. I was feeling very weak in those moments. I really did not want to go. The lesson here is, you can stay home because you are afraid to deviate from your routine, and that it may cause you to make bad choices. Sometimes, keeping yourself out of bad situations when you feel weak is best. But, I would have been home by myself on a Saturday night watching TV. Instead, I laughed with good friends for hours. Besides, it gave me a good excuse to get dressed up in my clothes that fit better after losing 11 lbs (7 on Sparkpeople). Tonights dinner is Lemon Pepper Parmasan Flounder Bake(a variation of a spark recipe), rice vegetabes, and Pumpkin Brownies for dessert, also off of Sparkpeople. Have a great Day all!
