If a little is good, is a lot better?

Here in the Raleigh NC area we had temperatures in the 70's! Our winter has been very mild, but his day was exceptional! My neighbor and I decided last night that we would walk to the Rec Center for our back to back workout classes. According to the SP mileage tracker tool, it is about .56 miles form my house ot the gym. We set out about half an hour before the first class was scheduled to begin. They have hand weights but the classes are on the large size and sometimes you can' t get the weight you want, so we bring our own. I have been using 5 pound weights and just recently Pat has been using 8 pound weights. I asked Pat if she was going to bring her weights since we were walking. She said she was bringing hers, so I brought mine. We set out carrying the weights. About a block form the house, Pat commented that carrying 16 pounds was a bit more difficult than she thought. We trudged on. It only took us 10 minutes to get there, so we made good time. Not wanting to waste our perfectly good warm up before the chair Yoga class began we started walking the indoor track. We did that for about 15 minutes then went in to the Yoga class. Our instructor is usually pretty easy going but she said we all looked like we had such great form that she had is working at a really fast clip (well, fast for Yoga!) Ordinarily the second class is held in the same room so when the other instructor arrives she winds down and we get in our usual 50 minutes. Well, today, the other class was held in another room so there was nobody trying to get into the room and she worked us (hard!) for a full 60 minutes. I flew down the stairs and joined the already in progress ST class. That instructor, too, laid it on really thick today and we were ready to collapse by the time we were done. And we STILL had the walk home to do! With the weights no less! Needless to say, that was all the exercising we did today. I have maxed out my SP exercise points, so I guess that's permission to stop the insanity! Wonder how I will feel tomorrow?
