Kid Germs

Thursday, February 23, 2012

I've been knocked flat on my fanny by Kid Germs. I don't have any kids & am not normally even exposed to them except through my seasonal job at the Motorcycle School. My office cohort has a 4 year old & a 9 month old. Mr 4 has started Kindergarten. He loves school & drops by the office to tell me all about it on payday with his dad. Since I'm not exposed to kids from November to February, the first contact usually infects me with the Spring Crud. Within two weeks I have it. Again last Fall, Mr 4 goes to Kindergarten & the whole family as well as myself is sick within 10 days.
I don't know what the secret is but we use hand gel. We wash our hands. We wipe down the phone, keyboard, mouse etc. We do everything we can to prevent the passage of germs but we all still get sick. Kids! Can we still stuff them in barrels till they grow up??

Unfortunately, routine exposure is the only cure I know for those germs. I've been in the classroom for almost 20 years and hardly ever get sick anymore....but the idea of barrels, especially in middle school, is rather appealing! emoticon

Hope you have a light case of the Crud this year!
