Last week I was utterly frustrated. After talking to my mom about how frustrated I was getting, she suggested that I go back to the routine I had down when I lost weight the frist time. She commented how I had that routine down pat, and said that I should go right back to it. As I found that was so easier and complimented my life.
What was the routine?
- Up @ 5am, brush teeth, drink some water
- Eat a handful of almonds
- Workout for an hour
- Come home, drink green tea while getting ready for work
- Make a shake
- Off to work
- For lunch: come home and drink a shake for lunch (do some house cleaning or watch TV)
- Drink another glass of green tea
- Make dinner
For me I L-O-V-E to cook. And luckily I have a boyfriend who loves to eat my healthy food, a lot. :) And growing up dinner was a big deal.
So I'm back to routine and on day 3, I've lost 2 pounds this week! Consistency is always key.
Mom certainly knows best!
