Grandkids say the darndest things...

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

I just had to share this little story. My grand daughter who was 4 in August is now the swearing nazi. She will cover her mouth and say ummm if she hears a word she thinks is a bad word.I am happy she is not repeating these bad words, dont get me wrong. The other day I gave her some alphabet pictures to color. The first one was an astronaut. Aubrianna looked at it and gave me a funny look but started to color. The teacher in me wanted to make sure she knew the letter A and the sound it makes.(She is in preschool after all). She pointed to the letter A and said A. She gave me the sound, but would not say what he was. I thought oh my, she doesnt know what he is! As I was having the thoughts about the space program being taken out of her life she leaned over to me and cupped her hand to my ear and said, Mi mi, he is a butt tro naut! I looked at her and said a what? she said he is a butttornaut. I cant say what he is, his name has a naughty word in it. Oh my how do I explain this one! I smiled and said oh ok. I had to leave the room and laugh by buttronaut off. Ya gotta love little children.
Anyway Just had to share this... Have a great day.
