So Lent snuck up on me. I'm not Catholic, I've never "done" Lent before, but I wanted to try it this year, and now it's tomorrow and I don't know what to give up! I am not a deeply religious person, but I thought it would be a good opportunity to for-go one of my vices. Here are my thoughts, and let me know what you think, quick!
1. Cheese. I love cheese. This would be the most difficult for me, because it means I can't have cheese on my sandwiches, no pizza, no lasagna, no quesadillas....
2. White flour/potatoes- I honestly don't eat a LOT of these things, so not sure it's the right thing to give up.
3. Red meat- again, I don't eat a lot of red meat, but I was planning on beef-stuffed peppers later this week. I have to use up my beef.
4. Alcohol. Again, probably not so hard to give up. I drink once or twice a week, tops, and I know alcohol has a ton of calories in it, so it would be good for me :)
So what do you think? You're going to say cheese, aren't you??
