Well yesterday was a very sad day for us as we had to put our horse down. She was 24 years old mare and somehow she broke her leg this morning while in her corral. We went to go feed her and she was laying and couldn't get up. We spent the whole day with her and trying to get her to stand but she just couldn't. So around 7pm we had to make the call and had her put down. It was very hard on us as she was part of our family. I am just heart broken. It has been one tough day you know. I even held her and told her it was okay that she could go and that we all loved her but she kept holding on. She was in a lot of pain too. I felt bad as I spent the whole day with her and not the kids. I kept checking on them but I just didn't want them to see her like that you know. I was learning how to ride her and she was a great horse.. She loved apples and carrots.. It was hard on my husband as he was out there when they put her down. They think she had a stoke and that's how she broke her leg. But she was my best friend and we will miss her dearly. The kids are all sad as the loved her too.We only had one horse and now she gone.RIP Misty We love you.... 3
