Grandson Duncan celebrated his 6th birthday Friday night with a family party. It was a great time. I fed my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter her ice cream and cake (at her request--she was being lazy and I LOVE to spoil her), so I only had one bite of cake. GOOD ON ME! Three years of Duncan's birthday parties in a row now--and no piece of cake for me!
Lots and lots of presents!
Eating dinner--chicken strips from a local take-out place. It's been a long time since I had breaded chicken of any kind--tried not to eat too many of those strips--they were sure good!

Us girls: me, daughter in law and granddaughter!

I gave each of the little girls a new Barbie doll, so they would have a package to open too!
Playing with that new Barbie Doll. She has lots of hair.
Duncan's uncles help him put together his new Lego truck & boat!

Batman Birthday Cake (ordered by me and paid for my my youngest son--a very generous guy)!
Amber came home with us and spent the night and the next day. Duncan had a birthday party with friends at the Children Museum Saturday, and Amber didn't get to go. She had a great time at our house and SO DID I!
She liked to play peek-a-boo with the pantry doors. Duncan used to do that too!
There she is!
It was a fun game and we played it over and over.
Then...she & gramps read a book,
And discussed life.
Before long, it was time to put on her Hello Kitty hat and get ready to go home.
What a GREAT WEEKEND!
