After just one day of staying on track I'm not going to jinx myself and say I'm back in the saddle, but I am confident enough to say I'm baiting the horse with a carrot. I'm optimistic the horse and I are going to become good friends and she'll let me hop on and get in that saddle soon.
After blogging yesterday about my struggles I decided there was no time like the present to get my butt in motion.
I went home yesterday, hit the grocery for some good healthy eats. I made the family carne asada tacos, I opted for the carne asada salad.
After dinner I busted out my Wii Gold's Gym Dance Workout game for some long over due calorie burning. Totally fun, 271 calories gone. Not great, but its a start in the right direction.
I successfully stayed away from Girl Scout Cookies last night too!!
To keep the healthy train moving I also batch cooked up a crock pot of chicken to use for meals for the week. I added a little bit of garlic, sun dried tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar to the mix just for some added flavor. It looked and smelled so great this morning! GOOD THING I did this because I just found out we have a cub scout meeting tonight and had I not been preparred I can't say what we may have resorted to for dinner.
This morning I used spark friend Maria's recipe for 5 minute eggs and it came out great!! 3 egg whites, a bit of shredded cheese, and a sandwich thin. All done in the microwave at work. Came out delicioius!
My Climb To Conquer Cancer shirt came in today. I'll be participating in a fundraiser, hiking 12 miles on Saturday. I should have gotten my act together sooner, but I may as well just jump back in!

Today's "New Hairstyle" was a total experiment. My sock curls were still too wet this morning so I resorted to an "updo" what do you think?
