Shopping Daze

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Today is prep day for tomorrow's bi-monthly freggie shop. This is a big deal for me because of the prep involved Instead of cleaning out a shelf or bin of the ice box every other day the whole thing gets it's monthly scrub. While I'm not looking forward to that part, I know I'm going to feel great when it's sparkly clean.

Next will come invetory and menu planning. I get to scan recipes teamies have posted and go through cookbooks. In fact, it's become a hobby of sorts.

One store gives a sneak peak of the sale that starts tomorrow so that part of the list is prepared. Strawberries, bell peppers, avacados and my favorite cheeses are on sale! It is going to be so easy to prepare my eating plan for the next week.

I'll pack up the car tonight. The insulated bag, the canvas bags, things for the dogs who love to come along for the ride. I'll also need to make sure I bring veggie bags. It saves having to re-pack everything when I get home. Besides, those static-y produce bags most stores offer drive me crazy.

Lastly, put the car keys and grocery list next to my water bottle and packed snacks in the sparkling ice box. Can't go anywhere without the keys!

WOW that sounds amazing .... I just try never to shop when hungry which does help !! I specifically go every 2 weeks just for fresh veggies ... my salads are beautiful the first week then they play out the second week to being pretty plain jane .... Roc

OMG! You are incredibly organized! I always thought I was, but you make me look like an amateur! Can't wait to hear what goodies you cook up!
