my lent challenge

During lent , what better way to strengthen my faith and willpower than by letting go of certain food items that slow me down physically and mentally. So as of tomorrow, for 40 days--- I will not consume:
- Bread
- Rice
- Alcohol
- Sweets
Sweets will be the hardest. Also, I will not eat meat on Fridays and Mondays. This is my nutritional re-boot; in addition to other spiritual things I will be doing (along with my usual fitness routines).
Challenge yourself. Make a promise and offer it. At the same time take charge of your mind, body and spirit!

    Very inspiring. Maybe I'll follow in your footsteps this year. I'm not quite that far yet and am working on other aspects of myself. I think it is a great challenge though.

lets work on holding each other accountable.

and you know, breaking the fast on Sundays... maybe I could do both of my thoughts if I allow a "cheat" on a Sunday... hmmmm

    Have a holy and blessed Lent.
Curious-do you break the fast on Sundays in Lent? we do, b/c they're 'Little Easters' but it kind of feels like cheating,ya know?
