Funny how something so little can change things so much. We had snow all day on Sunday. It was the first snow of the winter and a pretty good one. Of course, today has been an awesome sunshiney day with temperatures in the 50's and the snow is virtually gone. The rest of the week is supposed to be in the 50-60's and beautiful. It really hasn't been much of a winter for the most part. This is the way to enjoy the snow... one day of beautiful white winter wonderland and sunshine takes it all away the next. The children got to enjoy their one snow day. Some people got to miss work. The roads were cleared pretty quickly and I went to work with no issues this morning. No issues except one... NO STUDENTS! About 1/2 hour into the first class 1 student showed up. She stayed for the 2nd class... when 1 more student showed up about a 1/2 hour into THAT class but we had class and enjoyed it. Just seemed funny to me. Of course, the average age of the students in my classes are 70 (some in their high 80's and some in their 40's.. maybe 1 or 2 in their 20's but the average works out to about 73) so when they see a snow flake *(as in 1) they hide & refuse to drive. I didn't expect anyone to come at all. I was there and had a book just in case. I was grateful that someone came. We had a nice time and got in a work out while having a nice visit. It was good to get to know her better on a more personal level.
I got to meet a friend for lunch. We had a lovely time. Then I came home and relaxed with a nice nap. I have been having so many nightmares that naps are becoming the norm for me.
My calorie range has actually been low today. That's a happy thing. My exercise was only about average. Tomorrow is my really busy day. I teach 4 hours of classes in the morning and then have Girl Scouts in the evening. UGH.
Bright blessings to you all. Have a good night sleep. Take care of YOU! Love, Dawn
