No Excuses, Keep Pushing!

I did the craziest thing ever...I waited to start an exercise program in November...right before Thanksgiving, right before Christmas, right before my birthday. And, to top everything off, at the end of January my husband and I decided to reconcile after being apart for almost 4 years.
What does that mean to my exercise program?
Well, I had to learn how to say no to all the holiday foods (well most of them anyway) that I have grown to love (being from Lousiana) for years. I had to say no to birthday cake this year and macaroni and cheese and all sorts of fried delights.
I had to learn how to get up and go walking during the cold, the rain and the bright sunshine. And no matter what the lady says on the commercial, activity during your "special time of month" is not a breeze, but I learned to do it anyway.
There have been days when I felt great. I sprang out of bed, jumped into my workout clothes, cut on the music and got to it. There have also been days when I drug out of bed and did pushups, etc. without a bra because I was so tired. What amazes me is that it didnt matter what the day brought...I still got up and got to it.
I have lost nearly 40 pounds so far and I have 83 pounds to go and I am going to get there. After all these years I think I have finally figured out the answer... No matter what is going on in your life, keep pushing. No excuse is worth your health, your fitness, your appearance or even your confidence.
The answer is no excuses, keep pushing!
