There are at least 2 people in my office who are sickly today. My stepdad is sick. Family members. Other friends. I've not been sick with the flu in exactly 2 years. However, I did get the stomach flu right before we went to Santa Fe, NM for New Year's last year, it lasted less than 24 hours. And I lost 5 pounds, which is not to shabby... Though I couldn't enjoy my food at the Big Texan in Amaraillo, TX. Yes, I'm still bumed about that.
I think a great deal of this is because though my workouts have not always been consistent, my diet has been. I drink over a 100 ounces of water a day and at least one protein shake a day. Whether it's been Herbalife or Isagenix. Those shakes are pumped full of the great nutrients are bodies just love. And for that reason alone, I'll never stop drinking!
When I did get sick it was becuase I was pushing myself to hard and not getting enough sleep. And I paid for it dearly.
However, the one great thing about being sick is the laying on the couch, sleeping, staying in pajamas, watching cartoons, and eating soup. And that part my friends, doesn't sound to shabby. At all.
Tonight I am doing yoga. AND making a pasta dish that is SO pumped full of veggies, you'd never know it. (Stems from having a picky little sister who hates veggies, so I hide them. I have to experiment with how to hide. She never realizes it has the stuff she proclaims she hates. We're 10 years a part so she's a bit like a practice child!)
