A Little Motivation Can Mean A Lot

In the past few weeks I have discovered that my jeans don't fit me properly. To my amazement they are actually too bog rather than too tight. I didn't feel like I was doing anything to cause this change; in fact, I figured that my ignorance about my nutrition and exercise habits was hindering my weight and health. And this was all before I re-committed myself to SparkPeople.
Today I decided to go shopping for jeans to replace the ones that no longer fit. I am currently a siz 16 at Old Navy. I magine my surprise when I tried on a size 14 and they ALMOST fit!
The only down-side was that I felt too 'stuffed' when sitting down in them, so I opted to buy 2 pairs of size 16. For the heck of it, I tried on an 18 in the same style, but found myself swimming in them. I know that sizes and styles vary from store to store as much as any clothing item - I may not be a size 16 or near 14 at another store. I can say this much: Being able to (nearly) wear a size 14 jeans from a store I adore after being a size 18 for sooooo long was a very positive motivator to lose more weight. I know I am heading in the right direction because I feel good about myself. . . ..and THAT is something I am proud of :D
