4 Day Bender/Topamax input?/Gotta get serious

Sunday, February 19, 2012

I have seriously been on a BAD Bender. Thursday we ate grease at IHOP, FRiday- Pasta at Olive Garden, Saturday-Pancakes at IHOP, Sunday- Red Lobster/Lobester Bisque. Only exercise day was yesterday that ended with Migrane/neck aches. I miss feeling WELL! AMazing how just 2 days of indulging can throw you off 'whack'.

Umm....my serious shopping obsession got hold of me, but luckily, my 'return/buyers remorse' did also (more or less...ha) THe only option for me is to stay OUT Of the stores, away from the mall and think about other things!! I've been watching WAY too many 'haul' and shoppoing video's on youtube. Grrr. I'm going to restart my 'shop your closet' program, but ugh, the first step is getting it organized .....AGAIN! :(

So does anyone use Topamax to control migranes? ANy problems? I'm hesitant to take it.
THanks!!!

Hi there! I'n also on Topamax, I take 50mg in the morning and 50mg at night and the biggest side affect I've had is tingling/pins & needles in my fingers and toes shortly after I take it but I'm on my second month and it's not as bad anymore. My headaches/migrains aren't as frequent but I still get them sometimes (mostly from stress). I was also given Relpax for when I feel a migraine coming on and that seems to work well.

And as for the weight loss part, I think Topamax has definitely made me lose my appetite a great deal.

Good luck and I hope you feel better!!

You are a crackup lady! Anyway, first off, your hair looks so purdy and I love your earrings! I also wanted to tell you that one of my best friends has struggled with migraines for years and no medication was working for her. Her doctor suggested botox and she has been doing that for awhile ( I think she gets a session every few months). She says it hasn't cured them but does seem to help. Anyway she has military insurance and they DID pay for it. I don't think it's all that uncommon of a treatment so you may want to check into it. Although you are lucky enough to not need botox for wrinkles, your skin looks great :)

I'm going to keep my eyes out for that concealer too!

I'm on Topomax right now for migraines. It's a God send.
I started off at 25 and I'm currently at 75/day. I take it at night. I remember I didn't feel good when I took it in the morning. I can't remember if it was queasiness, hunger or what. It was a rare one though.
I was at two migraines a week now I'm at one a month.

I can't listen to your vlog on a speakerless lappy. I'll be back.
