secret goals and their outcome

Ok! I had some secret goals this year . Now that their dead line has come and went I can tell you that I fell a little short of my goals for February.
They were 50 push ups 50 sit ups and 5 miles jogging when I turned 50 years old.
50 push ups and 50 sit ups are not a problem--the sit ups are a little I break them into 2 sets.
Spraining my ankle almost ruined every thing so I modified my goal

I made it 5K instead of 5 miles then the tread mill started cutting out and I was literally holding the rail and driving it for the last 1/4 mile
then I took to the elliptical and the stationary bike with only stopping between the tread mill and the bike long enough to have a small conversation with the pretty lady with long hair.
--she was married--
so here are the results

566 cals 33 min - that's 10 min miles or 6mph notice the display says 5.6mph that is because
it was falling to 5.1 mph and I had to press against the display and drive the belt to 6mph
that is why my heart rate went to 173
then a quick conversation --I started feeling chilly being soaking wet so I had to get moving on the elliptical for a quick 20 min. and another 315 calories gone.

if it wasn't for that I would get bored in about 2 min
what did you think I was all about Polka, Waltz, Jazz, Bluegrass and Classic?
I had to let go of the sensors to take the picture but my heart was cruising at 145 during this hill work out 6mph level 11
well then quickly to the bile for 15 min at 95 to 100 rpm level 8 hill work out

Oh and I forgot to mention and thank the makers of duct tape without which my shoe laces would loosen and I would trip and die.

in this case I think it is literally holding my foot on to my ankle!! LOL!!

All in All I think it was pretty close to what I set out to do in january as far as fitness at this point in the year
for just exercising I'll take it for age 50 but I do want to be able to do 10 road miles this summer -- no exact time frame between 10 an 11 min miles for 10 miles
that is where I was at this time last year before the disaster and I liked being there

I skipped breakfast and all of this exercise caused me to have a 1200 calorie lunch
but I am going dancing tonight. I hope there will be some single ladies to dance with
even though I couldn't find a 3' aspirin.

    Hope you found the ladies to dance with. eating breakfast makes you burn more calories. You are doing great my friend. As always you are an inspiration.
