Enough self pity already!

I am not going to lie. I have had a reallllly bad week. Cracker Barrel Tuesday, Pizza Thursday, and Hershey Bar last night. I am officially 208 this morning. 3 pounds up from Tuesday's weigh in. I can NOT believe how self destructive I can become! All over a $18 discount at the gym! Yes, seeing the nutrionist every other month, and talking to the trainer once a month was cool, but come on, I am the one in control of my life not a insurance program! I know what I need to do! It is up to ME! And this chick, my friends, is not about to give up!



There are going to be trials in your life that are going to throw you for a loop. At that point you have to suck it up! You are stronger than you think! Those few minutes of pleasure that you might get from sticking a piece of candy in your mouth is not worth it.



So today I'm making a plan. A plan that is going to work. Why you ask? Because I'm going to make it work. The only person that is holding me back is me.



I AM going to get under 200 before my Birthday next month, because I said so!

    Good for you! I just made myself work out. Didn't even think I could make myself do 5 minutes. But minute by minute I managed to do so. If I had not done that, I would have felt so guilty after reading your blog! I hear you! emoticon

    "The only person that is holding me back is me." And with this, you nailed the underlying reason we are all here. Weight loss is not rocket science: Less calories in, coupled with ramping up the exercise level. It's the mental that is the obstacle to all this. If we could just bottle the answer to how to overcome the mental component in all this, we'd all be so incredibly rich! Better than any other weight loss program that charges!

"The fault...lies in ourselves", if I may borrow from Willie Shakespeare. Once that is figured out, the rest is ours for the taking.

  I loved this blog! When you wrote "it is amazing how self destructive I can become" I was thinking of all those times I was on track and I let a holiday,or a birthday or an emotional upset get me off track. I loved the three choices we have in life. It is going to be my mantra everytime I try to talk myself out of exercising or when I try to convince myself to eat that second piece of pie or cake. I love your determination! Thanks for the inspiration!!

  Oh boy - your comments hit me right in the guilter plexus. I haven't done even my meager amount of exercise this week. No excuse. I ate crazy starting on Thursday and continuing through Saturday night. What happened? Help!
