Today was not a great eating day. AT ALL.
I sooo was ready for it to be. But nope. I met a friend for lunch, had a cocktail (mojito - need to know how to make that a SKINNY drink) and had a beer. Ordered a cobb salad with dressing on the side. No biggie!
Was feeling down, lost, etc (you know what im talking about if you read my previous blog). Anyway, I ended up driving around, going to the bookstore, getting parts for my car ($250 later ugh) and then,..MCDONALDS. Was I hungry? NOPE! But, had an emotional breakdown, so I stuffed my feelings in deeper with TWO double cheeseburgers. Ugh.
What did i do? Went and walked around some stores and saw my gym..thought whats the point (hello im an all or nothing gal, already wasted the day). But then I thought about LIGHTINGRUNNER's idea for me. Just 15 minutes. You can do anything for 15 minutes.
So I went in. Changed my clothes. Wasnt happy about any of this, AT ALL. Got on that treadmill and just walked. Then, I jogged for a bit, then walked again. Did that for over 30 minutes. Then hit the stairclimber for 15, then did the bike for 10, then ended with the elliptical. The result? 650 calories torched.
Came home, and the endorphins were goin...so I grabbed hand weights. I did sit ups, Squats, lunges, bridges, donkey kicks, dead lifts..and push ups (I have an AWESOME push up APP on my phone!!!!)
Now? I'm still not feelin so great, I wasnt happy about any of the workout, but I'm glad I did it. And im happy with the amount I burned (ended up at 730).
Tonight, I'm forcing myself to be social. I really would rather sit in my room with my dog and watch a movie. Instead, i'm going to a friends house for game night. I'm eating dinner here, and plan on bringin my big water bottle with me.
Tomorrow? Exercise. I've adopted the 15 minute rule.
The underdog is starting to fight her way back for the win...
