Went to the doctor to get refills on my medication. I take Baclofen for the spasticity in my left foot & hand due to strokes. I also take Welbutrin for depression.
I had a new doctor, nice guy. Starts off with:
"Your BMI is not good"
I said "Yes I know, I'm working on it"
He looks at my chart and says:
"Wow, 9 pounds lost since last visit 4 months ago, that's wonderful!"
"I was 226 last year, I've been doing Sparkpeople and walking"
Then the usual questions about SP, what is it, yada yada.
He checks my legs for water retention, finds none, checks heart, says my blood pressure is wonderful, asks the regular check up questions, writes out my prescriptions and says:
"You really made my day, fantastic work, keep it up", and left.
I guess he was really happy he didn't have to give me the "You need to loose weight spiel LOL
That done I picked up my mom, and treated daughter & mom to MacDonald's LOLOL, so healthy!
So I just paid all the monthly bills, Thank you God for the money in the bank to do so, and going to get dressed for my walk, going to get in hopefully 4 or 5 miles.
Oh, I have been using Map My Walks with the GPS on my IPhone and they came out with, Map my Dog Walks and I've been using it and it was nice to see I got in about 4 miles from Tuesday walking the dog because I was kind bummed I had not walked all week due to many appointments.
Speaking of which, need to walk the dog, then I can get my walk in. I have the You on a Diet & You on a Walk on my Phone, I took them out of the library and burned them to my computer and put them on my IPhone and will listen to them while walking.
I also have the Dr.Weil breathing & sound on my Iphone too. I really like the self healing with sounds, I listen to it a couple times a day and when going to sleep.
