So... considering that this is actually a POSITIVE blog, I'm not really sure why it has taken me so long to post it... but better late than never, right?
My renewed motivation in January has been continuing, w/ me participating in a couple of bootcamp workouts at my local gym as part of their Kick Start program that I mentioned in my last blog, as well as working out here at home too. I haven't kept up w/ the bootcamps as I started to notice an increase in hip pain after them, so I don't think my body is quite ready for those kind of workouts just yet... but I will get there! I recently purchased a recumbant bike for at home so that I can get in some additional cardio even when I can't get to the gym, so hopefully that will help me continue my efforts.
I even kept my dedication during my most recent trip to Disneyworld to see my son... I managed to actually LOSE weight on that trip instead of gaining at least 5 lbs. like I have the 3 previous times I've visited him! WooHoo!
So... onto the important stuff, my results for January:
Weight: 5 lb. lost
Body fat %: 0.81% lost
Upper arms: 0.25 in. lost
Chest: 0.75 in. lost
Waist: 1 in. lost
Hips: 1.5 in. lost
Thighs: no change
Calves: no change
As you can probably see by the results, I didn't lose many lbs. compared to the amount of inches that I lost, but I credit that to the fact that I've really toned up some from all the workouts. But that's the important thing anyway, right? It doesn't really matter what the number on the scale says, as long as I feel better about myself and continue to make myself healthier every single day!
So, onward I go... hoping for more good results to report in just a couple of weeks (since February is already half over)... until then...
