So this morning I was looking for something that would make a good snack, that could go along to the shop with me and not cost me a lot of calories. So figured I would make a batch of hummus and pair it up with reduced-fat Ritz. Now the serving size on the Ritz is only 5 crackers and 1/4 cup for the hummus. Which is, of coarse, to much for the crackers. So, to finish the serving of hummus, cut up veggies will work great.
I even took the basic recipe and added cut up red peppers and gave them a whirl in the food processor. Very yummy.
So there is "No Excuse" for me this week to healthy snacking. With a jar full of hummus, I am good to go.
