Morning quickie....

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Just read this in my gym's newsletter. Food for thought!

"Weight training or resistance machines. Simply put, every pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day. So if you increase your muscle mass by ten pounds, you will burn an additional 15,000 calories a month! That is why keeping muscle is so important."

I can't believe I'm ts his far behind on my friend's blogs. I'm going to go do some dumbell exercises right now. Thanx for the reminder, I knew there was a reason I do this.

Many thanks for your reminder. Many times as a newbie runner I skip the strength training. Tahnk you for reminding me that this too is necessary.

Yeah baby...that is why I been emphasizing on weight training lately. However, it is cutting into cardio time. emoticon There is no where else to cut time. Children and home chores are not optional. Oh wait...maybe I could toss out DH? LOL
