"To make any lasting change or achieve a meaningful goal, you need to have FOCUS. You have to know what you want, why you want it, and how you’re going to make it happen. Without a plan, goals rarely happen by accident. Time used to create a mission out of your goals, develop a driving vision, and get your values in line is time well spent."
I feel this week has been my worst week for focus for any topic, not just my nutrition and fitness, but life in general. I think poor eating habits and lack of sleep are my main contributors to this issue.
I am working to resolve these issues and get back on track. Last night I was in bed by 8:30, and the light was off and the book put away by 9:00. The eating didn't get better today - I said I was going to refocus, but the valentines day candy was calling my name. I need to find my inner will power. I know it is there, I just have buried it deep and need to pull it back out.
Usually when I get into this situation, I can just take a few hours of no computer work, and just relax. I have done that twice this weekend and last Friday night. It hasn't helped which makes me realize that I am in a much deeper hole than normal and it is going to take even more strength than normal to get back on track.
Awareness is step 1, Focus is step 2.
