What I've been up to

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

It is February 14th - Valentine's Day - and what a day it was!
Today my DH & I closed on our new little place at the lake. It's something we have talked about and dreamed of. We have searched for 3 years and were just about to give up when, the place of our dreams seemed to be set in front of us. It took some fast action ( within days, there were 20 + people making offers on it) and creative financing, but in just over 2 weeks since we saw the For Sale sign, it is OURS! 3 lots, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath manufactured home with a garden shed large enough for the boat & 4 wheeler, riding lawn mower & 2 carports. There is a wooden swing in the side yard under a pergola, mature trees and a large covered porch.
Both my DH & I are so excited!

What it means, though is that most weekends we will be there - with no internet - so, I'll be on SP even less than I usually am.
It also means that my day off from work will be no nonsense - laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, banking, and everything else you can think of - also taking time away SP time.
I have no intention of leaving SP [ever], but I will need to make non-food choices that will keep me from my teams & my SP friends, at least until I get a good plan going. It means I will need to keep up with laundry daily and house cleaning/de-cluttering will definitely need to be on a more defined, organized schedule.

So, bare with me while I get all of this figured out and forgive me if I am not around as much as usual.

I'm so happy for you and the shared dream-turned-reality with your better half! Don't worry about time away from SP. But I do hope to stay in touch.

Congratulations!!!!! I am so pleased for you. Thanks also for letting us know the absolutely terrific reason we will see less on the Spark People pages. I, of course, value your support, but I know what a wonderful thing you are doing and how it will impact your time.

I will see you when you are here. And, I will keep good thoughts going for all the wonderful myriad of things you need to juggle right now.

How cool is this!! I am so happy for you. I think most people can appreciate a place like that. I've always wanted a camper of some sort but hubby opted for the pontoon boat instead and it was the right choice for us, especially me as I love it.

It sounds like you will be very busy but it will be worth it. You know how to reach me.
