Miami and stuff

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

I had to run my son back down to Miami to work on Sunday. He came home for 2 whole days. I stayed over until Tuesday, made sure hubby got a haircut, did laundry and shopping for them. Both hubby & son are working 10 to 13 hour days, living in in a hotel the past almost two months now. At least its a nice Howard Johnson's. This is supposed to be the last week, but so was LAST week. LOL
Man driving down there is like driving in NYC! Its crazy!

Miami is like going to a different country. Pretty much Spanish is the first language. When you reply "English, no Spanish", most of the time they don't speak English and you get to play "Guess what I'm saying" with a lot of hand movements LOL

I did some shopping while there, well trying on a lot of stuff trying to figure out what size I am.
I ended up stopping a a Ross on my way home and brought two pairs of jeans & two tee's. The jeans are size 12's, yea for me! Last pair I fit in was 18's so I'm happy.
Sizing is so weird based on brand, plus now I'm a petite, where before I was normal because the fat took up space someplace that made the petite size too short for me, my butt is a lot smaller, guess its less material my body is using? Who knows!
Tee shirts are getting annoying too. Most are way to long. I never noticed these issues before, I always liked long shirts but now they look odd if its long. Whole shape is changing!

Good thing is I've gotten to the point where eating out is not a big treat, I'd really rather eat at home and my choices eating out are so much better now, I eat a lot less, skip the larger sizes and I look for the healthier, not the yummiest foods and I always carry water with me so I rarely drink the soda that comes with everything!

Have not really done any walking since Saturday, except at the mall. I need to get in a good 5 miles tomorrow, after doing the doctor thing. I ran out of Baclofen, and I guess it was working because I notice my leg & hand are a lot stiffer so I want to keep taking it!
