Oatmeal Pancakes

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

Oatmeal Pancakes I had for lunch today, topped with sugarfree syrup and Mandarin Oranges on the side... Recipe was from a co-worker friend... Recipe follows:

OATMEAL PANCAKES

4 Cups Water, 3 1/2 Cups Quick Oats, 1 tsp. Vanilla, 1 tsp. Salt, 1 TB. Honey.
Let sit for 5 minutes before cooking-then cook like a regular pancake...

They are very good,,,, I omitted the salt as I do not use in my cooking.

Enjoy.. emoticon,,,, there is no flour, eggs, baking powder or baking soda in this....

How simple and I love oatmeal. Nice to have pancakes once in awhile. We have to buy the gluten free. I too think I will experiment with adding things like diced apple and cinnamon. Thank you!

Interesting recipe, think I might try these. I have oatmeal every morning for breakfast with fruit, protein powder, flax seed meal, chi seed and a bit of coconut oil. Thanks for sharing.

Happy Valentine's Day!
