And, it's not over yet!
DH and I did a lot this weekend. Yesterday we went to the gym to sign me up, and it turns out that putting me as an add-on to his membership made it less expensive than it was when I left the same gym 3 years ago. Another perk is that since they're a local franchise members can now use any of the 3 gyms in the area, one of which has a pool. AND, they're opening another branch with a pool sometime soon as well. So, I'm really excited about maybe being able to do some swimming as well. An additional plus is that I think the dues are within the amount that my employer will pay under our wellness benefit, so we may not be out of pocket any money at all!
In the afternoon, I went to the NoVa Spark meetup - it was good to see some old faces, and meet some new ones.
Today we did a big (for us) Costco run, followed by trips to HHGregg and Office Depot looking for a printer cable, and THEN to the regular grocery store. At office Depot we got a good deal on our tax software, printer ink, and some Norton software which will be free when the rebates come back in.
So, after returning home, I spent most of the late afternoon washing large quanties of Costco fruit, prepping lunch/snacks for tomorrow, and filling out the rebate forms. Then it was time to do some entry into Sparky, check e-mail, and fix dinner with DH.
I also practiced piano for a whole hour both yesterday and today, thank goodness. I've got a jury on the 25th, and my pieces are not ready yet. So much has happened this year, it's really messed with my practice schedule.
Tomorrow will be the first day of my new schedule. Up 15 minutes earlier than usual, fix breakfast/pack lunch, and off to the gym before work. So, tonight I need to layout my gym clothes AND put my work clothes in the car so I don't need to do it in the morning. I'm going to start out really gently, but as my workouts get more intense I'll have to figure out how to fuel the workout without eating too much. I'd be interested in hearing how other morning exercisers deal with breakfast. I also need to take new kitten's sample to the vet tomorrow morning on the way to the gym - hopefully this one will be free of parasites. I've got to put up a picture of her soon - she's the cutest thing, and is quickly learning not to mess with our cat when she is given the "look."
