My plans were to blog on Mondays and that did not happen. Life has a tendency to get in the way. In the of January I lost 9.8 pounds and gained a little back. Now I'm back town. I've started to follow the DASH diet and I no longer need to count calories, but I count servings in the food groups. That is soooooo much easier. I've added exercise back in, but the little girl I care of (IM) was sick so some of that got on hold. Then I got sick. I did not like that, but I did lose weight.

I'm finding that my biggest thing is balancing eating with exercise. I'm not too concerned about how much I should weigh as how healthy I am. I will accomplish what I can and trust the Heavenly with the rest.

Being sick certainly does affect my weight, too, though I wouldn't recommend it. I encourage you to continue blogging. I will do so, too. Keep up the good work. I've finally been able to say to my body (just as it is) "I love you!" So much stress has been lifted from me in making that comment! I've had a major mental attitude shift for the better. I hope I can help encourage you on your journey!

Blessings.

I don't care what the scale says as long as I am as healthy as I can be.That is all I can ask for...being healthy and fit. You are doing a good job. Keep it up.

That is a really good way to look at it. My mother (I love her, I do), but she has this unhealthy need to reach the weight she was in high school...she's 57, she had gastric bypass and has lost well over 100 lbs but it still 20+ to get that high school weight back...she isn't happy..um lady, you lost 100 lbs! Be friggin happy already! Don't let the little things bother you and this journey will be so much better.
