I found this beautiful poem somewhere and I decided to share it with anyone who like me has lost a pet.
A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING...
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...
For my beautiful cat Simone that died yesterday evening after 14 years. She was loved and cared for. She was a friend and a great companion. I am missing her a lot but I know that she is finally resting and that she has reached another life form like the poem said. I am thankful for the 14 years we had together and I will never forget her.
