I broke a tooth Saturday night. It is towards the back, thank God, but I am afraid to eat anything hard until I get into the dentist. My dentist has Mondays off, so it will be Tuesday at the earliest that i get in there. I am so bummed because last time I was in there a few months ago getting my teeth cleaned he told me I needed a crown on that tooth. He told me to make an appointment immediately because if the tooth broke I would need a root canal too. I just did not have the 500 dollars that I would owe after my insurance part so I did not do anything about it. Now here I sit with half a tooth, and it is going to cost me even more.
Anyway i am eating eggs and smoothies and I am hungry. Probably will be good for me to eat so light for a few days, but I am sad :(

So very sorry to hear about your tooth. Such a pain to have to go to the dentist but even more painful how much they cost! they too are so into marketing and scaring the heck out of you. the good news for us here in Mexico is that we have wonderful dental care and it cost about half if not even less than the states. I know people who actually come to Mexico just to have dental work done.
Good luck with getting the work done.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! I can relate, as I have terrible teeth, though mostly my own fault. That's why I don't smile with an open mouth in any of my pics.
Good idea taking it easy with the soft foods. You can still eat plenty of healthy things. Hang in there and keep me posted!

Sorry about your tooth. I had the same thing happen a while back, really annoying and yes, costly.
Try Cream of Wheat and squish a banana into it, or mix in some applesauce. That should take care of the hunger and will go down easy.
Good luck at the dentist.

love your picture!! We get Stellar Blue Jays (I'm in the Pacific Northwest) and some birds that look like robins (haven't identified them yet?). The smoothies have grown into my usual breakfast item, but I was a bit dissapointed to see how many calories they had!! So sorry about your tooth. I lost my front tooth and getting it replaced with an implant is a lot of trouble. I can't wait until April when it's in and done!! Good luck with yours. (Dentist are no fun) emoticon
