Baking and PT

Sunday, February 12, 2012

I found some mini peanut butter cups on the King Arthur Flour website and couldn't resist.

I decided to make peanut butter peanut butter cup cookies. They were a big hit when my husband took that to a meeting with his model car group.

Saturday they were putting on a model car show, so I baked more cookies. This time, chocolate mint chip cookies. Nestle makes a dark chocolate and mint chip mixed bag. They're pretty good.

Friday I went for my first PT appointment. She watched me walk and thought it didn't look too bad. She gave me some exercises to do and told me to ice every night. She also say it was fine if I ran but I had to ice afterward.....I'll take it!!! I go back in two weeks for her to check my progress.

I was lusting when I saw those PB cups in the KA catalog; but unlike you, I resisted! But now seeing your cookies, I'm not sure for how long. lol I was also intrigued when I saw the Hershey's dark chocolate/mint mixed. Just may have to get some of them too.

You ARE the cookie devil! emoticon emoticon

I ate a lot of peanut butter cups today, but thankfully not in cookies. I know they're best when they're in cookies (what isn't), but harder to recover from.
Yay for walking looking good and being able to run! I'm excited for you. Will you start tomorrow? Or did you start already? I'm going to try icing my toes at night, I bet that will help a lot.
I hope you have a better week!

    Looks tantalizing!
I'm craving something really homey--- like a chewy oatmeal or oatmeal raisin chunk cookie..

Glad to hear you've gotten an "all's clear" from t he PT to try those runs- start cranking out the ice!

The mini peanut butter cups are so cute, doubly cute in cookies. Your chocolate mint cookies look delish. Your husband must be happy to take good and interesting refreshments to his meetings. Hope the stretching is working well.

I made the mint one during the holidays. I couldn't find them the last time I was at the store. My hubby loved them. Glad you are running again. If icing works then that is a fairly easy fix.

    Hi Natalie,

I build model cars. Can I have a cookie? I am glad you are able to run. I am supposed to ice my foot and calf after I run. I keep forgetting. But I am running in snow so I think that counts as "icing". I know you will be far more diligent than me about PT.

I bet your husband has more model kits than he can build in two lifetimes. So do I.

Thanks, Bruce
