I'm a little late getting started again, but better late than never!
What goals are you setting for this challenge?
Fitness - Zumba 3 days a week
Nutrition - Journal my food (this may be done in a notebook or on Spark)
Self - Practice meditation and giving thanks nightly
Why did you choose these goals?
Fitness - I think this will be a fun way to get started exercising regularly. I have Zumba for my Wii and I'm going to start out with 20 minute sessions.
Nutrition - I need to take responsibility for what goes into my mouth. I have a terrible habit of thinking that extra cookie(s) doesn't count!
Self - I've just gone off my bloodthinners and need to keep calm so I don't feel short of breath (brought on by stress, tiredness, etc.) By taking 10 minutes at the end of each day to meditate and focus on the gifts I've been given, it will help me stay calm and happy :)
What do these goals mean to you?
By completing these goals, I will develop an exercise habit, be able to account for the calories in, and be a happier person.
Why did you choose to participate in this challenge?
I always get something out of Lauren's challenges :)
At the end of these 15 days, what do you hope to accomplish?
I hope to be settled into a workout and meditation routine and have a better concept of how many calories are in different types of food.
What do you want to feel like?
I want to feel like I'm working towards my goal, and that I've developed habits that I will keep and not fall off the wagon with.
What is going to tell you that you are headed in the right direction during this challenge?
I will know I'm headed in the right direction when finding time to exercise becomes easier, when I can keep track of my calories and really think about something before I eat it, and when I can sit peacefully and quietly by myself.
What is going to be different this round?
This round, I'm going to journal independently, too. Sometimes I don't want to put every thought out there on the interwebz so I think the journaling will really help keep me honest.
