Just got word that our daughter is the Ohio State School Nurse of the Year!!!
It would take a lot of space to tell of all her accomplishments since graduating from college at WV Wesleyan 29 years ago. She was an honored Clinical Nurse at OSU Hospital where she worked in Infectious Diseases, adjunct professor at OSU where she got her master's, taught in several other universities, worked directly under the governor for a few years, wrote brochures about AIDS, worked for the city of Columbus writing grants, speaks at National Nurses Conferences, does seminars, and decided to go back to school to become a school nurse about 5 years ago when her children were in school. She is director of all the Diabetes Program for the whole city of Columbus. And there is much more to say of her accomplishments along with being a busy wife and a mother to two very active teenagers. Besides the accolades in Ohio she will be honored at the National Nurses Convention in San Francisco this June.
THANKS FOR READING AND ALLOWING ME TO BRAG!!!
