What is that? Muscle? Maybe?

Saturday, February 11, 2012

That is what I was asking myself last night, while sitting here on the couch surfing SP. I poked my arm, I guess what some may refer to as their bicep, so I poked it, and it didn’t move, it didn’t squish, it was solid. Hmmm. Maybe it was a fluke. So I poked it again, rubbed it, then did the same to the other side. Both were solid. About that time, DH walked by and I asked, “Do you feel that?” And I had him touch it, and he said, “Yes what is it? Muscle tone?” And I said, “Ummm yes I think it is a muscle”

Strange that this would be my first post. I have had so many little phenomenon like that lately that I didn’t know where to start but this was the most recent, so I guess I will work backwards. What makes this post-worthy, is that muscle or muscle tone is not new to me, but it has eluded me for quite some time. I am happy to see it making a comeback. Now we won’t talk about the flab that hangs out on the other side of my arm - I think some kind of African Bat might have taken up residence - but for purposes of this brief first initial post, I am just focusing on the positive & this little bit of progress.

Me, too! I was looking at my tummy in the mirror the other day, and I happened to shift my rib cage to one side...and caught just a little glimpse of an ab muscle! emoticon
