My 17 year son plays rugby for a local youth team (high school age, but not for a high school). Yesterday his team left for Las Vegas, Nevada for a regional tournament. They are going to be playing teams from the intermountain west area. He is VERY excited!!!! I wish I could of gone with him but I couldn't =( He plays position 2, hook or hooker. Basically his job is to 'hook' the ball with his foot when they are in a scrum and pass it out to his teammates. He also is the one who throws the ball in from the sidelines anytime it is needed. Other than that he helps in mauls and rucks when needed too. It is a VERY fast paced game and I am still learning about it. I hope that him and his team do good during the tournament and I hope he has fun too!!
