Day 5

Well, I got hit with a sinus infection and ear infection for the past 2 days. That is not good for me because when I feel like poo, all I want is junk. Yesterday I had 2 brown sugar and cinnamon Pop Tarts for breakfast, cinnamon toast for lunch and pancakes for dinner. Can we say sugar and carbs? Ugh! I'm back on track today though and I actually lost weight since Monday. WTH? I still have not figured-out how my body works! Anyway I'm giving my new plan the rest of this week and all of next week before I do Adkins. I'm really wanting to be able to do this on my own though and not be on a "diet".

    A lot of times colds will dehydrate you, which causes some weight loss. Hope yo get one good week before starting Atkins. It can be very draining. I just restarted low carb, after figuring out a menu that fit all my health concerns, and having 50 net carbs. Induction is just to break food addictions, and make you lose so fast, you don't

If you plan to stick to it for a while, and do not think you need to be so drastic, you could skip Induction altogether. However, if you need a detox go ahead. Drinking a lot of water will help with headaches. Don't try for fattest meats or you will get queasy, but don't be afraid of butter, or eggs. A lot of the food sounds dangerous according to current beliefs. Hope you read DANDR before you start.

I eat the same food most days because I fear straying, but also love those foods. Only thing I might change are the vegetables, cheeses, or substitute nuts for the cheese. This might not help you plan a menu, but might give you an idea of what a day might be like menuwise. Check it out on my shared Nutrition Tracker. You'll have different favorite foods, but you will also want to spread out the carbs, since those are what slows weight loss.. having all of the days carbs at once could also stall you.

I think the thing I like the most about Atkins is that it incorporates real food. As long as you don't eat the Atkins products. Those are not good for you. I have never eaten a low carb meal that I thought of as "diet food". I can't eat foods I dislike.

    Hang in there! You can do this and you don't have to feel like you are on a diet, just do what you know you have to do. Good luck and feel better!!!
