While I joined Spark People....well.....a long time ago, it wasn't until the beginning of this year that I truly started utilizing the site. My life has already changed. So that, coupled with my new heart rate monitor (that I love!), I became motivated over night to change my life. This time for me.
I had a short love affair with p90x last year which led to a 15 pound weight loss and a new understanding of nutrition. As the year went on, I slipped up a lot but somehow managed to maintain my weight loss. A few weeks ago, I decided to borrow Zumba from my friend and I haven't looked back since.
In 3 short weeks, I have completely cleaned up my diet, lost 5 pounds, gotten rid of clothes that are now too big (all you women out there know how fun that is!) and have found a new love for sweating. I have gained so much confidence in such a short amount of time that I am pumped to see how I will feel by summer.
And with this new found confidence, I have decided to challenge myself. By the end of this year, I want to run a 10k. So what will I be blogging about? Training for a 10k of course. Probably not a new concept for a blog, but I hope to share my experiences and any knowledge I gain in a fun way. I'll proudly, and hopefully humorously, share my ups and downs. My hope is that in the process, I will spark just one person to really challenge themselves.
