Pre-Fitness Test...

Today in my P.E. class we had to do a pre-fitness test. We had to sit and reach to see how far we could reach, I only got to #11 on the scale thing, and the lowest number on there is 10. I attribute most of that to my stomach though. As I get thinner, I will be able to reach farther. According to their scale, I am at 269 lbs., but I am not going to worry about that because I should only pay attention to the numbers on one scale and be consistent with that. I was probably two lbs heaverier when I started according to their scale too. We also had to run/walk a mile, do as many curl ups as we could in 60 seconds, and do as many push up as we could in 60 seconds. I managed 49 curl ups, 13 push ups, and I walked/jogged the mile in 18.17 minutes. I was the last person to finish my mile in class, but I don't feel bad about that. I really pushed myself and tried to jog in parts, and I kept a good pace the entire time. I know the limits of my body right now, and I am not gonna try to do more than I am capable of. I'm proud of myself for the 49 curl ups and 13 push ups. I have carpal tunnel in both my wrists, so being able to do even 13 push ups is pretty good for me. I can barely lift pots and pans usually. I know I am gonna be hurting tomorrow though, but it's a good pain.

    Awesome! Congratz on doing so well in the PE class and pushing yourself! emoticon Don't worry about coming last with running/walking that mile. Running is VERY difficult! When I first started, I could barely run for 2 minutes without having stop and catch my breath! Stick with it and it will get much easier. You will be running the whole mile in no time! emoticon emoticon

    I am so happy for you. Also, where do you go to have a P.E. Class? I'd love to get back into gym. I do my thing but to be with a group and be tested like that would be awesome.

Congrats on your job well done and not quitting. Many would have stopped and left it alone but you finished, even though it meant finishing last. I'm so happy and proud of you! Keep up the great job and continue to build your inner-strength. You have to know yourself. Also, when you push your limits, you achieve so much more! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
