A review of the new SparkPeople Bootcamp DVD!!!! (It was AWESOME btw)

Back in the late fall I was asked to be one to try out and review the new SparkPeople 28 Day Bootcamp DVD that came out in January. Of course I jumped on the opportunity! I would like to start off saying that they did not pay me to do the review. It has been an honor to be able to view the DVD and give my honest opinion.

So my opinion? I loved it. Coach Nicole was super easy to follow and she started off with an easier move before adding to it to make it a challenge.




The DVD gives you a lot of options when it comes to your workout. You have the option to do the 28 day challenge where you can choose a specific workout geared towards a specific day. You have the option to select a specific workout (and it shows you how long that workout is). You also have the option to do ALL the workouts (which is 84 minutes in length). I love that! Iíve done a lot of workout videos but I found that this DVD offers the most workout customization.

I choose to do Day 1 of the 28 day challenge. I had hoped to add one some of the toning workouts but I ran out of time. The workout I chose started off with an 8 minute warm up. It then proceeded to do a 10 minute cardio burst. Finally, we did a 4 minute cool down. A total of 22 minutes.

So what did I look like afterwards? Here is my after picture. Notice the sweat dripping from my ear! Yuck! But if I got that sweaty after just 22 minutes think about how sweaty I would have been after 84 minutes! In my opinion, I think the more sweat the more effort was put forth towards the workout.



So, overall, I think that the DVD is great! The only complaint that I do have is that a little bit of the footwork is tricky at first. It takes a few tries to get it, but Coach Nicole does a great job demonstrating the move. I think anyone could do the DVD. You can make all sorts of modifications to the moves. There is a demonstrator behind Nicole that does a lower impact version of the move being demonstrated. That is always very helpful! You should definitely give this DVD a shot! You can buy this DVD at Target.

Great job SparkPeople! Keep the great videos coming out! I'll definitely be adding this DVD to my regular fitness routine!
