Ups & Downs Need support please! :)

Well I have been up and down lately and really want to get back on track. as I have said before when I started spark I lost 10lbs within a short period of time and never reached my goal weight, fell off track and pretty much gained it all back but I know I have to follow the program of tracking and getting points and I can do it again I just cannot seem to get motivated to login as much as I did when I first started spark.

    The thing that might be hard, is if you expect to be able to return to what you were doing when you were lost, doing all the same stuff. Start small, with just 1 thing. Maybe logging your food (not trying to change anything), Maybe just adding in 10 minutes of exercise. May be just logging in and spinning the silly wheel. Give yourself 5 days at that point. Add another step. repeat. Baby steps.

    It's not easy to get going again. But it can be done.

    It's really hard and sometimes it helps to just set a short term goal with a reward in mind. Don't look at the big picture but break it up into parts where you are rewarded for good behavior along the way.

    I am re-motivating my self as well...YOU CAN DO THIS!!
    I find that I do really well when I track...then I get bored and stop...and then I do not make any forward progress...I am very tired of gaining and losing this same 5 lbs...I want to move forward into the rest of the 40 I want to loose.

    Try breaking your goals down into small 5 or 10 lb increments....don't beat yourself up are human.

    Just learned this little saying in my kids karate class...I have it on repeat in my head because this time I WILL DO THIS.

    IF IT IS TO BE...IT IS UP TO ME. 5 2 LETTER WORDS....take your weight loss in 2 lbs increments if you want to...

    Build it up. It took me a long time to get back on spark, but I always knew like you that I can do it. I had someone that reminded me of how I used to be and I loved who I used to be when I was healthy. You might have to pressure yourself. Tell yourself you are going to do it. Take inspiration from people around you or here on Spark. Think about it a lot and everything you like about it. I'm sure it will come back to you!

    I find for me that tracking my food is key! I have been doing the tyson method fat shredder program (a 6 week eating program to change your eating habits and workouts) and we are supposed to track everything we eat and the leader looks at our food logs and comments on them. ( I find that huge motivation to eat well. Don't get down on yourself. It is ok to fall off the wagon as long as your keep getting back up. We all have our downs when we know we have eaten something we shouldn't have, but tomorrow is always a new day and a new start. Just get back up!!! I hope this is encouraging to you.
