In this fast-paced, techno-world of butt implants and augmentations, lipo and injections, just what are we looking for anyway? What REALLY is our goal? What is MY goal?( Because, truly, your goal may be to look like barbie.)
I am not setting myself up to be a size 2 (I'm 5'10", doubt I could ever get there! But I've been a 6).
My goal, simply put, is to be healthy; To be active; to physically enjoy life and what God has given me to do. I am not physically handicapped so I HAD BETTER use my body to it's full potential! DUH.
I WILL myself to be physically active EVERYDAY. I will lift weights (dumbbells at home) or canned food (yes, I've done it!) to keep my muscles from losing their form or strength AND also to GAIN form and strength.
I WILL myself to be HEART and LUNG active most everyday. Walking, jogging, cardio dancing, kick-boxing...the more variety the better! I'm always adding more to keep it FUN!
In other words, my goal is not my look (appearances are deceiving anyway) but my goal is fit-living. If I look like a barbie in the process, so be it (lol). But seriously, this journey is about being a good steward of what is entrusted to me and my body/health is one I am focusing on right now. Yep...trimming the fat. I encourage everyone to BE HAPPY where they are at...work it out in your own way and time. But enjoy your life. Don't wait for some unspoken destination to THEN start living. Live now. Live FULLY.
I may not always eat what I should (more greens) and I might eat MORE of what I shouldn't (pizza). So I do have some work cut out for me ...trimming more fat. But don't be down on yourself. Say YES more often to YES FOODS and say WAIT more and more often to the NO foods. Wait is good.
