This past weekend my best friend spoiled me rotten. She had a whole two days planned for me to relax and enjoy the weekend before I turn the big 3-0 on Wednesday. She completely decorated our living room in a beach scene and printed out daily itineraries like we were on a cruise. It was a ton of fun! I got45 minutes in a massage chair, time in the hot tub, and a pedicure. But the best part was that she threw a surprise party for me on Saturday night. I wasn't sure she was going to be able to pull it off because I'm just too skeptical and suspicious. But she did! On the itinerary for Saturday it said that we were going to the movie at 7:15, but she said she forgot the movie tickets after the pedicure and we needed to run home and get them. So when we got home, she said that she had one present that I needed to open before we went to the movie. Then Surprise! My whole family was there except my mother who had come down with the flu the night before. It was very awesome!

I've had a lot of mixed emotions turning 30 but I'm actually looking forward to this year and have a lot of things on my bucket list I'm going to accomplish. One of them to achieve a healthy weight. I've still working on this goal even in my absence of blogging. This is a slow and steady race, but one that intend on winning! So here's to turning 30 (on Wednesday)!!!
